What is Phase? Farm management software on one paddock map
Phase is farm management software for Australian growers. Crop plans, spray records, inventory, weather, livestock and machinery in one app, on phone and computer.

Phase is farm management software for Australian growers. It keeps the whole farm in one record: the plan for each paddock, the work that was done, what is left in the shed, the weather it happened in, and what it cost. Everything hangs off one map of your paddocks, and it is the same full app on a phone, a tablet and a computer.
This page is the short version of what Phase does and who it is for.
Everything starts from the paddock map
Open Phase and you are looking at your farm. Tap a paddock and its sheet opens: this season's crop plan, soil tests, yield, notes, livestock and history, all for that paddock.
That is the idea behind the whole product. A spray job is not a line in one list, a stock movement in another and a cost in a third. You mark the job done on the paddock, and the spray record, the crop plan and the chemical on hand all update together.
What Phase covers
- Crop plans. Plan every paddock for the season with activities, products, rates and costs, one paddock at a time or across the whole program in Crop Plan Studio.
- Records of the work. Spraying, spreading, seeding and harvest, each with the products and rates actually used, the operator, the date and the weather.
- Inventory. Chemical, fertiliser, seed, fuel, water, parts and machinery, with stock coming off as jobs are marked done.
- Grain and hay storage. What is in each silo, shed and stack, and where it went.
- Weather. Your own weather station, the forecast, rainfall history, and an hour-by-hour outlook for spraying that scores wind, Delta T and rain against your own limits.
- Soil and yield. Soil tests on the paddock they came from, yield by paddock and season, and yield maps you can stand up in 3D on the paddock's real ground.
- Livestock. Mobs, pens, feed, weights, treatments and water.
- Jobs and maintenance. Jobs for the team, machines, and service reminders that count from engine hours.
- Safety and people. Licences, training records and policies, an emergency page on every phone, and signing on and off so someone notices if a worker does not make it back.
- Money. A budget for the season and a gross margin for each paddock, built from the plan and the work recorded against it.
- Phase Agent. Ask a question in plain words and get an answer from your own records. When it proposes a change, it shows the before and after and waits for you to approve it.
Works with the machinery and weather you already have
Phase works on any make of machinery. Nothing has to be connected: you can plan, record and complete every job by hand in a few taps.
If you do have connected machines, Phase can bring in what they already know. John Deere Operations Center brings in farms, paddocks, boundaries and machines. CNH FieldOps, which covers Case IH, New Holland and STEYR, brings in paddock boundaries. On Phase Ultra, completed John Deere work arrives matched to the paddock, the planned job and your stock, ready for you to confirm, and engine hours from John Deere and CNH keep service reminders current.
For weather, Phase connects to Davis WeatherLink and Weather Underground stations, and reads DPIRD weather stations in Western Australia and SILO climate data.
Phase is independent of the businesses named here. A name shows what Phase connects to, not endorsement or a commercial partnership, and the names are trademarks of their respective owners.
The same on your phone as at the desk
Phase runs in a web browser, on iPhone and iPad from the App Store, and on Android from Google Play. It is the same app everywhere. You do not have to go home to the computer to use a feature you are paying for.
Start with the records you already have
You do not have to type a farm in from scratch. Phase reads the files you already get sent:
- The crop plan PDF from your agronomist becomes a real crop plan.
- Supplier invoices and statements become stock on hand.
- A workshop's service invoice becomes the service record on the machine.
- Soil results from the laboratory land on the right paddock.
- Boundaries come in from John Deere Operations Center, or from KML, GeoJSON or a zipped shapefile.
Every import ends on a review screen, so you see what Phase read before anything is saved.
Who it is for
Phase is built for Australian broadacre and mixed farms. Managers, employees and advisors are all included in the farm's subscription, with no charge per person. An agronomist can make a free Phase login and join each client's farm with an access code.
There are two plans, Phase Pro and Phase Ultra. Ultra adds the John Deere automation and Phase Spatial, which builds zone maps and prescriptions. The pricing section sets the two side by side.
Your data stays yours
You own your records. Reports and records export to CSV, Excel and PDF, so nothing is locked in.
Try it on your own farm
Every new farm gets 14 days of full Ultra access, with no card required. Start a trial, draw or import your paddocks, and see the season on your own map. If you have a question first, write to support@phase.ag.
