Livestock reports: feed-out by pen, weight gain and treatments

· Guides

Four printable livestock reports in Phase. Feed-out by pen, weights and gain, a mob register, and treatments with withholding dates, as PDF, Excel or CSV.

The Livestock mob ledger in Phase, listing each mob with where it is, head count, latest weight and what it needs next

Recording livestock work is half the job. The other half is getting it back out in a shape someone else can read: a feed-out sheet to check against the paper one, weights for a buyer, a treatment list for an audit.

Phase now has four printable livestock reports.

How to run one

Open Actions → Reports on any Livestock screen. Choose the report, the days it covers (7, 30 or 90 days, or pick your own dates), a pen or a mob, and how you want it: PDF, Excel or CSV.

Feed-out by pen

This lists every pen and the ration fed each day, with head, loads, kilograms and kilograms a head. There is a total under each day and a total for the period.

It has a Checked column, there to be ticked against the paper feed-out sheet from the feed truck.

After the daily list come the pen totals (days fed, average head, and kilograms a head a day), kilograms by pen each day as a grid, and totals for each ration.

Weights and gain

Every weigh, by mob, with the average weight and the kilograms a day gained since the weigh before. Each mob's gain over the whole period is at the end. It is the report to hand over when someone asks how a line of cattle or lambs has been doing.

Mob register

Each mob's head count at the start and end of the period, and what happened in between: bought, born, sold, died, split, merged and recounted. Then every change and move, by date.

When the numbers in the paddock do not match the numbers in the book, this is where you find out which day they parted company.

Treatments and moves

Each treatment with its product, dose and batch, and the dates its withholding period and export slaughter interval end. It shows what is still inside withholding today, and lists every mob move.

Phase works those dates out from what you recorded. You are still responsible for checking the product label and meeting the requirements for your market.

Nothing to set up

The reports are built from the feeding, weighing, moving and treating you already record in Phase. Feed recorded before the reports existed is included too, with its pen taken from where the mob was that day.

Livestock and cropping in one app

Phase is all-in-one farm management software, so livestock is not a separate program from the cropping side. Mobs sit on the same farm map as the paddocks they graze, with pens, rations, weights and health records against each mob. Rations draw feed from the same silos and sheds as Grain & Hay Storage, and the water the stock drink from is recorded there too: see keeping track of water tanks, dams and bores.
